The pharmaceutical products that Nitto Pharmaceutical Industries develops and manufactures are diverse. They include our leading products-oral liquid products, syrups, tablets, granules, medical liquor, lactic acid bacteria products and many others. All of our products are produced on the basis of our solid comitment to provide "Quality". It goes without saying that the quality control is carefully maintained not only in our production lines but also in all our other activities.
We run two manufacturing plants : one in Ayabe, and one in Osadano. The Nitto "Quality" guarantee is the direct result of our highly advanced production environment, the latest equipment, and the dedication of our highly trained staff. Because of this, we are sincerely aware of our mission to keep people in good health and assure their happiness. Though we are not a large company, we find our size advantageous in ensuring that our quality-first policy is understood by all our employees. Aiming at Environmentally Safe Technology The Ayabe Plant |

Nitto Pharmaceutical Industries latest production base is the Ayabe plant. Its highly modern plants are situated in the park-like Ayabe Industrial Park, surrounded by a beautiful background of hilly ridges, and abundant greenery. The Ayabe plant was opened in Ayabe Industrial Park in October 1995, in premises covering approximately 30,000 square meters. The plant boasts a cottage-style exterior, with snow-white walls, and a triangular roof, creating a relaxed and peaceful atmosphere suitable for the production of pharmac eutical health products.
At the Ayabe plant, every process is designed to comply with national validations, which went into effect in April 1996, as welll as GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice). These basic requirements serve to ensure the safety and effectiveness of our drug products. Oral administration solid drugs, such as tablets, granules and capsules, are produced in this environment.
To pursue state-of-the-art technology and the finest quality in an atmosphere of peaceful natural beauty : this is the basic attitude of Nitto Pharmaceutical Industries. The Ayabe plant is our clearest example of this policy.

Recently, as our life styles have diversified and as a result of the great changes in the variety of food we eat, many people have started complaining about indigestion. One of the causes of this is stress, which alters the composition of enterobacteria, resulting in the disorder of intestinal functions. Microorganisms such as lactic acid bacteria and butyric acid bacteria are most effective for remedying these kinds of disorders. We cultivate lactic acid bacteria, butyric acid bacteria, and Bacillus natto in the Ayabe plant. By blending these substances the plant produces a comprehensive range of pharmaceutical products, varying from those used for medical treatment in hospital to over-the-counter drug.
Our efforts are also being directed towards livestock applications for the prevention of intestinal maladies. Bio Powder "NT" for animal, a blend of lactic acid bacteria, butyric acid bacteria and Bacillus natto, has been officially authorized by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries for its use as an animal feed additive.
Nitto Pharmaceutical Industries developed from the research and development of biotechnological products. Based on our notable achievements, we are striving to cultivate lactic acid bacteria and explore new areas of business related to these areas.

The leading product of Nitto Phamaceutical Industries is "JACKO", an oral liquid product commonly sold at drug stores. Despite the flood of competing oral liquid products, "JACKO" has continued to maintain a constant market share.
The Osadano plant is our base for manufacturing liquid products such as oral liquid products, including JACKO, and nasal sprays. The plant is equipped with a "nasal sprays filling system"and a "medical liquor specific line." Line No.1 is dedicated to the production of 30 milliliters liquid products, and Line No.2 for 10 to 100 milliliters products.
In order for pharmaceutical products to be manufactured sanitarily, it is critical to minimize manual processes. Consequently, automation and labor saving devices are extensively used in the plant to produce products under optimal conditions. The manufacture of health care supporting products will not allow for any errors. Therefore, the QC standards we have adopted have been designed to exceed national standards. At each of our plants, including the Osadano plant, we make an every effort to improve the manufacturing process through various approaches, including QC activities. In this way we have developed products which have gained the trust and affection of all our customers.
